Facebook Marketplace and LesPAC in Quebec

Marketplace is where many Quebec buyers start. LesPAC is still a French classifieds habit. The same item can live on both if the French is real French, and you take the other ad down when one sells.

Two Quebec audiences

Facebook Marketplace is where a lot of Quebec buyers start, in English or in French, depending on the city and the group. LesPAC is a French classifieds habit: people still search it for local goods, especially outside a pure Marketplace routine.

The same couch can be listed on both. The mistake is pasting an English-only Marketplace description into LesPAC and hoping the city carries it. LesPAC readers expect French.

Bilingual copy that is actually bilingual

Write the facts in the language you draft fastest: brand, size, condition, city, what is included. Use the second-language fields for French (or switch that second language in Settings if you had been using Spanish or German).

The translate button is yours to press. Read the French before you publish. Fix the city name, measurements, and any word that came out as the wrong kind of “table” or “coat.” A short accurate French block beats a long paragraph you did not check.

On LesPAC, post the French. On Marketplace, use French, English, or both, depending on who you want to reach in that city. SyncListing can fill the language you chose for that handoff. You still click Post.

A practical workflow

  1. Save the item once, including the pickup city and a French description you have read.
  2. Open Marketplace, confirm category and location, then publish it yourself.
  3. Open LesPAC with the French title and description. Confirm the category. Publish it yourself.
  4. If you use buyer chat on either site, a saved reply can be inserted into the box. You still press Send.

After the sale

When one site sells, remove the other ad the same day. SyncListing marks sites live only from what you record. It does not delete the Marketplace listing or the LesPAC ad for you.

Common questions

Does SyncListing post to LesPAC or Facebook for me?

No. It fills each create form. You review the category and the city, then click Post on that site.

Do I need a full French rewrite?

You need French that a LesPAC reader can trust. Translate, then fix the city, sizes, and any word that came out wrong. A short accurate block is enough.

Can SyncListing reply to buyers on LesPAC?

Where LesPAC buyer chat is supported, a saved reply can be inserted into the message box. You still press Send.
