Depop + Canada

Depop crosslisting in Canada

Depop reaches fashion buyers who already browse it. Canadian sellers still need Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji when the item should be picked up instead of shipped.

Depop is not a Canadian classified

Depop is one fashion marketplace at depop.com. There is no Depop.ca classifieds site the way Kijiji is a Canadian local board. Buyers there expect a styled photo, a brand, a size, and usually shipping.

A lot of Canadian inventory still sells faster to someone nearby. A winter coat, a dresser, or a bundle that is awkward to ship belongs on Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji as well, with a pickup city and a price that makes sense for a local buyer.

Turn Depop on for this library, then open each create page from the same listing. You click Post on Depop and on the local site.

A practical workflow

  1. Save the item once in SyncListing: photos, price, brand, size, and the pickup city for the local ad.
  2. Turn the Depop chip on if it is still off. Libraries that existed before Depop was added keep that chip off until you enable it.
  3. Open the Depop create page, review category, size, colour, and shipping, then click Post yourself.
  4. Open Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji for the same item. Confirm the local price and pickup city, then click Post there too.
  5. Save each live link on the listing when the site gives you one.

SyncListing fills the fields it can map. It does not publish the ad, and it does not delete the other copy when one sells.

Price, shipping, and fees

Do not paste the Kijiji cash price onto Depop and stop there. Depop buyers pay shipping, and Depop’s fee comes out of your payout. The reverse is also true: a Depop “shipped” price can look high to someone who will drive across town.

Fee schedules change. Check the current Depop seller fee and your shipping cost before you publish, and keep a lower local price only if pickup is actually convenient for you.

After one copy sells

The first sold copy wins. If the coat sells on Marketplace tonight, mark the Depop listing sold or remove it before another buyer pays. SyncListing can show which sites are still marked live and walk you through that checklist. You still remove the ad on each site.

When to skip Depop

Skip Depop for furniture, baby gear, and anything you will not ship. Skip the local sites when you do not want meetups and the item is a normal fashion parcel. Vinted is a different marketplace, with its own locale (US, UK, or France) — Vinted.ca closed in 2024 — so treat that as a separate decision.

Common questions

Does SyncListing post to Depop for me?

No. It fills the Depop create form. You review size, colour, and shipping, then click Post on Depop.

Is there a Depop.ca?

No. Depop listings go through depop.com. It is not a Canadian local classifieds site the way Kijiji is.

Why is the Depop chip off?

Libraries created before Depop was added keep that marketplace off until you turn the chip on.

Should the Depop price match Kijiji?

Usually not. Depop buyers expect shipping, and Depop fees come out of the payout. A local pickup price can stay closer to the cash you want.
