Why use both marketplaces?

Both platforms reach Canadian local buyers, but the audiences do not perfectly overlap. One good listing can be adapted to both with a quick review of category, location and form-specific fields.

Crosslisting works best when the second marketplace reaches a genuinely different buyer or makes the transaction easier. Do not post everywhere simply because software makes it possible.

A practical workflow

• Start with the cleanest version of the listing you already have.

What should change between the two copies?

Keep the facts consistent, but adapt the presentation. Search-heavy marketplaces benefit from precise titles and attributes. Local classifieds often benefit from pickup information and a concise, conversational description. Shipping marketplaces need accurate delivery and return settings.

Price can differ too. Fees, shipping expectations and buyer behaviour vary. Treat your original price as a starting point, not a rule.

The part sellers forget: what happens after the sale

When this combination is not worth it
